Palace loanee linked with summer switch

Crystal Palace loanee Albert Sambi Lokonga is being linked with a Premier League switch to join promoted Burnley over the summer.

The Sun are reporting that former Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany wants Lokonga at Turf Moor for next season.

Burnley won the Championship at the first time of asking under Kompany, finishing on 101 points.

Lokonga has featured nine times for the Eagles since joining on loan from Arsenal over the winter window.

However, the 23-year-old has only started once – the 2-0 defeat at Wolves – since Roy Hodgson replaced Patrick Vieira until the end of the season.

Lokonga has made 39 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal since signing from Anderlecht in a deal worth in the region of £17million.

The Times reported in March that Arsenal are contemplating offloading Kieran Tierney, Nuno Tavares and Lokonga to bolster their transfer budget for the summer.
