Former European champion James Cook has released his autobiography.

The Peckham man, who moved into coaching after hanging up his gloves in 1994, tells his life story in Guardian of the Street.

Cook, 58, was awarded an MBE in 2007 for his work taking kids off the streets of Hackney.

He was raised by his grandparents in Jamaica before moving into what he describes as the “notorious” North Peckham Housing Estate in the late 1960s.
