Player ratings from Crystal Palace’s 2-0 win at Burnley

Crystal Palace got back to winning ways in the Premier League after beating Burnley 2-0 at Turd Moor on Saturday.

The Eagles offered minimum attacking threat, but goals from Jeffrey Schlupp and Tyrick Mitchell saw the South Londoners claim all three points.

Here are Edmund Brack’s player ratings from the match:

SAM JOHNSTONE – 8

Excellent pass to find Tyrick Mitchell in the 73rd minute when under pressure.

Great save to deny Josh Brownhill in the 79th minute, tipping over an effort from outside the box.

Another great save is the following passage of play to deny Jay Rodriguez from a corner.

JOEL WARD – 4

Was up against Luca Koleosho, who tried to use his pace to give the experienced defender a tough first half.

Ward lost track of the ball and Koleosho, which allowed the winger a chance before half-time, but Andersen pulled off a sensational tackle to stop a shot at goal.

Had an uncomfortable start to the second half with Koleosho and Amdouni attacking his side of the pitch.

Was replaced by Nathaniel Clyne in the 70th minute.

JOACHIM ANDERSEN – 7

Had Palace’s first effort on target after he met Will Hughes’ free-kick in the 15th minute. However, it was a comfortable stop for England youth stopper James Trafford.

Pulled off a great challenge to stop Koleosho from scoring just before half-time.

Another great recovery challenge late on to deny Nathan Redmond in added time.

MARC GUEHI – 6

Was booked after half-time for protesting.

Good defensive recovery to stop Burnley from getting a cross in when they were on the attack in the 56th minute.

JEFFREY SCHLUPP – 6

His first goal of the season in the 22nd minute, arriving at the back post to steer Ayew’s cross past Trafford.

ODSONNE EDOUARD – 5
