Preston striker Jayden Stockley keen on permanent Charlton move

Jayden Stockley is keen on a permanent move to Charlton Athletic.

The Preston North End striker joined the South London club in the January transfer window and has scored eight times – his latest coming in Tuesday’s 3-1 win over Lincoln City.

Charlton’s hopes of reaching the play-offs will be decided today as they host League One champions Hull City.

The Addicks need to leapfrog Portsmouth and Oxford to extend their season.

Stockley has 12 months to run on his Preston contract.

Stockley told The Sun: “It’s up in the air at the moment. I don’t know what fees are circling around and they don’t even know who their manager is going to be next season.

“What I can say is I absolutely am loving my time here.

“And this hopefully isn’t the end of my time playing for Charlton.

“If it works for everyone, I would love it. I feel I have so much to give and these are my prime years.”
