PSG ‘monitoring’ Crystal Palace youngster

Paris Saint Germain are reportedly monitoring Crystal Palace youngster Michael Olise.

The Daily Mail are reporting that the French champions and current Champions League round of 16 side have been impressed by Olise’s progress with the South Londoners.

Olise, signed from Reading for £8million, has made 49 appearances for the Eagles in all competitions, scoring five goals and recording 12 assists.

Palace boss Patrick Vieira recently said of the 21-year-old: He’s a young player – he keeps developing himself.

“Sometimes, he will make some mistakes tactically and miss something because he still needs to grow as a player.

“With what he is doing in training, I don’t have any doubts about putting him in the starting 11.

“The faith and the trust that we’re going to put on him will help him grow as a player – that’s good for us.”

The Eagles removed the £35million release clause from the five-year deal that Olise signed at Selhurst Park at the start of the 2021-22 season.
