QPR boss Beale: My players need to back up impressive victory over Watford

Mick Beale has challenges his QPR players to build on their 3-2 win at Watford on Saturday.

Ilias Chair, Chris Willock and Albert Adomah were on target for the R’s as they climbed into the top half of the Championship.

Beale told the club’s website: “It’s important that we back this result up now – it can’t be in isolation like the Middlesbrough one. We have to go and back it up in the games against Hull and Swansea.

“A couple of things went for us but we have been due that bit of luck.

“We were ruthless in the box and probably should have had a fourth through Ilias.

“Watford are a Premier League team in terms of size, profile and ability – but I thought we more than matched them.

“We played good football today and I’m delighted for the boys.

“There are some big names in Watford’s team and they’ll go on to do very well this season. But Chris Willock and Ilias Chair were outstanding today and I would like the focus to be on those two. I thought they were incredible in terms of their skill, their ability and the way they played together.
