QPR boss hoping his side can recover from “really bad night”
The R’s fell to their first defeat in four Championship fixtures at St Andrew’s on Friday evening – both the Blues goals coming in the first half.
Beale said: “It was a really bad night. Everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong. We were slow in getting started and we didn’t recover.
“The first goal made us chase it against a defensively very good team. They have a recipe against the teams at the top and have done very well. Fair play to John Eustace and his team.
“That was exactly the same performance as we had at Luton, which is a concern.
“We’re a young group, it’s early in the season and the expectation being put on them needs to be tempered. We won’t get carried away, we’re still in a good position and we’re still growing and learning about each other.
“We’ll go to Norwich and that’ll be a tough one but all we can do is respond. We’ll pick the bones out of tonight’s performance and try to improve on that.
“A lot went wrong for us tonight but we’ll go again on Wednesday.”
