QPR confirm Dickie departure as Bristol City land defender

Bristol City have signed defender Rob Dickie on a three-year deal from QPR.

The west Londoners allowed the former Oxford defender to depart on a cut-price deal, with his deal at Loftus Road only having one year left to run on it.

Former Reading youngster Dickie made 129 appearances for QPR in all competitions after signing from Oxford United in the summer of 2021.

Gareth Ainsworth’s side have reportedly sold Dickie for a total package worth just over £1million.

“As soon as Bristol City showed interest, I was keen on the move – the club have shown real ambition for the season ahead,” Dickie said.

“I’ve had a brief look at the squad. There is a really good blend of youth as well as experienced players and with the Championship experience I’ve got, I feel as though I can really add to that and bolster the squad.”
