QPR offer deals to duo as former Charlton loanee will be released

QPR have offered new contracts to Tom Carroll and Charlie Owens. Both players are set to be free agents at the start of July.

The R’s have exercised the options to extend the contracts of Dillon Barnes and Marco Ramkilde until June 2022. Defender Ben Wells has signed a short-term contract until December 3.

Forwards Paul Smyth and Aramide Oteh will be leaving when their contracts expire.

Northern Ireland international Smyth joined the club in 2017 and went on to make 23 appearances, scoring twice. He also enjoyed loans at Accrington Stanley, Wycombe Wanderers and Charlton Athletic.

Former Spurs youngster Oteh, has made 21 appearances and scored twice in his four year stay at the club. During that time, he was also loaned out to Walsall, Bradford City, Stevenage and Colchester United.

QPR have released four U23 players – Marcin Brzozowski, Tyla Dickinson, Deshane Dalling and Dylan Duncan.

“Everyone at Queens Park Rangers would like to thank our departing players for their efforts during their time with us, and we wish them all the very best for the future,” said the club statement.
