QPR receive positive injury update ahead of Hull trip
QPR forward Lyndon Dykes is back in training after being forced off in the second half through illness during their 1-1 draw with Swansea City last weekend.
The Scottish forward has scored six goals in 28 Championship appearances this season.
The Hoops took the lead early on against the Swans, with Jamal Lowe scoring his first goal for the club since joining on loan from Bournemouth.
Jay Fulton scored late on for Russell Martin’s side to snatch two points away from Critchley’s side.
Dykes, 27, was replaced by Chris Willock in the 57th minute at Loftus Road.
Critchley said to West London Sport:” Dykes trained yesterday – it was his first training session yesterday after his illness at the weekend.
“We will just see how he will react from yesterday off the back of that.”
Manchester United loanee Ethan Laird went off just before half time against the Welsh side last weekend, with fears that the injury could be a long-term one.
“When Ethan comes off in the first half, you fear the worst,” said Critchley.
“We got relatively positive news about him and he is not going to be out for a significant period of time.
“He’ll be doubtful for this weekend, but when you come off with a muscle injury, you start to think it’s a long-term one.
“It is not going to be long-term. But he will be doubtful for this weekend.”
QPR and Hull are separated by four points in the Championship table.
