QPR release six players after securing Championship safety and Willock has contract extended

Luke Amos Leon Balogun, Olamide Shodipo, Conor Masterson, Charlie Owens and Ody Alfa have all been released by QPR ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Former Spurs midfielder Amos, 26, made 95 appearances in all competitions for the club.

Ex-Brighton and Rangers defender Balgoun, 34, joined the club in the summer as a free agent under Michael Beale. He made 21 appearances at Loftus Road.

Taylor Richards’ loan has automatically become a permanent deal after Gareth Ainsworth’s side secured survival.

Chris Willock, Joe Gubbins and Charlie Kelman have all had their contracts extended until next summer.

Loanees Tim Iroegbunam, Ethan Laird, Jamal Lowe and Tyler Roberts have all returned to their parent clubs.

The west Londoners remain in talks over new contracts with Jordan Archer, Chris Martin, Elijah Dixon-Bonner, Aaron Drewe and Stephen Duke-McKenna over new deals.
