QPR star Ebere Eze makes admission over last season – and credits family with focusing him

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Ebere Eze is refusing to let any of his positive publicity affect him.

The former Millwall youngster made his 100th appearance for QPR in Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Nottingham Forest. The attacking midfielder has been linked with Premier League clubs due to his displays over the past 18 months.

“I try to just focus on my football,” Eze told QPR’s official website. “Last season I probably may have looked at stuff too much and it can get into your head – then you’re not as focused as you should be.

“I have been working this season on staying focused on my football. That’s what has got me into this position this year, so I am going to continue to do that. I am not going to let outside things distract me.

“My family, those people that you speak to most, have been so important. They keep me grounded.”
