Released Charlton defender quickly lands chance to impress at League One rivals

Lewis Page is on trial with Plymouth Argyle.

Charlton Athletic released the 24-year-old this summer after an injury-hit spell in SE7.

But Addicks assistant manager Johnnie Jackson gave Page a glowing endorsement to Pilgrims boss Ryan Lowe.

The former West Ham United left-back is set to feature in a friendly this weekend.

Lowe told Plymouth Live: “Lewis has been fantastic. I spoke to his agent and he had a good recommendation from Johnnie Jackson at Charlton.

“The lad has suffered with injuries but that’s a side we are obviously looking for.

“Lewis is with us this week and will play some part on Saturday, and then we will have a chat with him.”
