Released Dons forward lands National League deal

Released AFC Wimbledon forward Aaron Cosgrave has joined National League side Halifax Town. 

Ex-West Ham and Colchester youngster Cosgrave joined the Dons in July 2021 under Mark Robinson following a successful trial with the club.

He had loan spells at Southend, Dover and King’s Lynn during his spell at Plough Lane.

Cosgrave made 10 appearances for the South Londoners – all coming under Robinson – and scored his first goal in the 2-2 draw with Cheltenham in January 2022.

Halifax finished 11th in the National League last season.

Cosgrave was released by Johnnie Jackson’s Dons this summer alongside George Marsh, Dylan Adjei-Hersey, Elliott Boltot, David Fisher, Kwaku Frimpong and Luke Jenkins.
