Roy Hodgson delivers Crystal Palace injury news ahead of Fulham – Two key players available but midfielder ruled out
Crystal Palace Roy Hodgson has confirmed that Marc Guehi and Jordan Ayew will be available for tomorrow’s Premier League clash against Fulham – but midfielder Naouirou Ahamada has sprained his ankle in training this week.
Ayew went off in the 25th minute in last weekend’s 3-1 defeat at Aston Villa after a coming together with John McGinn left the former Swansea attacker with a dead leg.
Guehi, 23, missed the game after coming off at half-time on international duty with England in their friendly win over Scotland.
“He (Ayew) suffered a nasty blow which gave him a dead leg, but he has recovered well,” Hodgson said.
“We’ve recovered Marc Guehi as well, he’s recovered well during the course of the week.
“The players we have out are long-term, (Michael) Olise and (Matheus) Franca. In the shorter term, we have [Jefferson] Lerma, (James) Tomkins and [Naouirou] Ahamada — who sprained his ankle — are missing.”
Ahamada, 21, joined last winter from German side Stuttgart.
He has played three times this season for the Eagles in the Premier League, with all of his appearances coming from the bench.
“He caught his foot in the turf,” explained Hodgson of Ahamda’s injury.
“Those three are not serious injuries, but it is going to keep them out for a period of time.”
