R’s work ethic a key factor in taking point at Championship leaders

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Mark Warburton praised the work ethic of his QPR players after they came away from Championship leaders Norwich with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday night.

Teemu Pukki had put the hosts ahead from the spot in the 75th minute but Bright Osayi-Samuel levelled with a spot-kick of his own after being felled by Christoph Zimmerman.

“The players deserve a lot of credit, they stuck to the game plan and they worked tirelessly throughout 90 minutes,” said R’s boss Warburton. “It’s a tough place to come. You have to withstand some pressure, you have to be resolute, you have to defend in shape, get first contact and then you have to pose a threat. We did that.”

Rangers go to Luton on Saturday.
