Ryan Inniss available for Charlton’s match at Forest Green Rovers as red card overturned

Ryan Inniss is available for Charlton Athletic’s League One match at Forest Green Rovers tonight after his red card in Saturday’s loss to Fleetwood Town was overturned.

The Addicks centre-back was dismissed by referee Carl Boyeson for fouling Harvey Macadam at The Valley.

Charlton boss Dean Holden, speaking at the weekend, said: “It’s never a sending off in a million years.

“There is Lucas Ness on the cover. It’s a poor decision but I’m not here to slate referees, I’m a qualified referee myself. It’s a difficult job.

“We’ll obviously look to appeal.”

Inniss and Lucas Ness have been Holden’s preferred partnership in the middle of his backline.

“The defender was sent off in the 79th minute of Saturday’s game against Fleetwood Town for denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity,” said Charlton Athletic in a statement on their website. “The club appealed the decision and a claim of wrongful dismissal was upheld by an independent regulatory commission.”
