Scott Parker set for Fulham exit – with move to Championship rivals Bournemouth likely to be his next destination

Scott Parker is reportedly set to leave Fulham later this week, with Bournemouth lining up a move to appoint him as their new manager.

Parker was initially appointed as the Whites caretaker manager in 2019 before he was given the job on a permanent basis in May 2019.

Fulham were relegated from the Premier League, and will be playing Championship football next season.

Now The Telegraph and Daily Mail are reporting that Parker will leave Fulham after two years in charge at Craven Cottage.

The 40-year-old has reportedly been in talks over his position and negotiations are expected to accelerate over the next few days before his departure is confirmed – likely to be by mutual consent.

The Cherries lost to Brentford in the play-off semi-finals and want to replace current manager Jonathan Woodgate, with Parker lined up as the replacement.

Speaking about his future in May, Parker said: “As always, I’m committed, I’ve been committed since day one.

“My aim and ambition is to make this football club as strong and successful as possible.

“That will always be my ambition. That’s never changed.”
