Second time lucky? Charlton closing in on deal for Hearts striker
Charlton Athletic are working on a deal to sign Hearts striker Conor Washington.
The Addicks held talks with the 28-year-old this week and are thought to be close to clinching his signature.
Scottish press are reporting that Washington will sign a contract until the summer of 2022.
Charlton were interested in the Northern Ireland international last summer but the frontman opted for Hearts when he left Sheffield United.
He scored three goals in 15 appearances in the Scottish Premiership.
Chatham-born Washington netted 34 times in 94 outings for Peterborough. He has also had spells at QPR and Newport County.
He has been capped 18 times by his country.
