‘Shambles’ – Charlton defender has his say on Sheffield Wednesday boss departure

Charlton Athletic defender Michael Hector has described Darren Moore’s departure from Sheffield Wednesday as “a shambles”.

The Owls announced yesterday that they had parted company with their boss by mutual consent.

Wednesday won promotion to the Championship via the play-offs last month.

Hector, who is out of contract with the Addicks at the end of June, played a full season on loan for the Yorkshire club in the 2018-19 season and won their Player of the Year award.

Hector quote-tweeted Wednesday’s post about Moore’s exit and added: “This is a shambles.”

Charlton have offered new terms to the former Fulham and Chelsea centre-back, who joined in the January transfer window.

Terell Thomas has also been tabled an extension but has been away on international duty with St Lucia, skippering his country in a Concacaf Gold Cup qualifier defeat against Martinique.
