Sheffield Wednesday v Charlton Athletic team news: Two changes as Addicks suffer injury set-back in defence

Macauley Bonne makes his first start in just under two months – but Naby Sarr misses out through injury as Charlton travel to Sheffield Wednesday.

Forward man Bonne suffered a hamstring injury during the defeat at Derby County just after Christmas. He has made cameo appearances off the bench in the Addick’s last two games and starts this evening in place of Andre Green.

Sarr is absent at Hillsborough after picking up a tight calf. Captain Jason Pearce returns to the side in his place.

Erhun Oztumer features in consecutive league games for the first time as a Charlton player – having started Saturday’s 3-1 win over Luton Town.

Charlton: Phillips, Matthews, Lockyer, Pearce, Doughty, Oshilaja, Cullen, Davis, Oztumer, Taylor, Bonne. Subs: Amos, Purrington, McGeady, Green, Smith, Hemed, Lapslie.
