South London’s Joe Aribo set for Southampton transfer
Joe Aribo is set to become a Premier League footballer after Southampton reached agreement with Rangers for the South London midfielder.
The 25-year-old rejected a new deal at Charlton in the summer of 2019 to make a free transfer move to the Scottish giants.
Southampton will reportedly pay an initial £6million for Aribo, who scored in the Europa League final against Eintracht Frankfurt in May, with potential add-ons taking the figure to £10m.
The Nigerian international has agreed personal terms with the Saints and is due to undergo a medical this weekend.
Camberwell-born Aribo has 12 months to run on his Ibrox terms and would be able to leave for nothing next July.
