Stockport close on loan deal for Crystal Palace defender

Stockport County are closing in on a deal to sign Crystal Palace defender Tayo Adaramola, the South London Press understands.

The former Coventry City and RWD Molnebeek loanee is set for his third spell away from Selhurst Park with the newly promoted League One side.

Wigan Athletic also wanted to take the 20-year-old on loan, but Dave Challinor’s side have moved into pole position to sign the athletic full-back.

Italian Serie B side Pisa were also keen on a move for the left-back, but Adaramola’s preference was to play in League One.

Owen Goodman and Joe Whitworth have both sealed moves to the EFL this summer.

Adaramola has made two senior appearances for the Eagles and has been capped by the Republic of Ireland at U17, 19 and 21 level.
