Terell Thomas agrees new Charlton Athletic contract

Charlton Athletic defender Terell Thomas has agreed to sign a contract extension.

The centre-back was due to be a free agent on July 1. But the South London Press understands that Thomas – who recently captained St Lucia – is set to stay with the League One club.

The 27-year-old started on the Addicks books as a youngster before joining Wigan in 2017.

Thomas rejoined Charlton in September 2022 after being released that summer by Reading.

The Rainham-born player made 18 appearances in total and scored in the 4-4 draw against Ipswich Town in November.

He told our paper in April that he wanted to stay at Charlton.

Charlton have also offered fresh terms to former Fulham, Chelsea, Reading and Sheffield Wednesday centre-half Michael Hector.
