‘That’s what I’ll be demanding’ – Bromley boss wants Crystal Palace loanee to start adding goal contributions to positive performances
Bromley boss Andy Woodman wants Crystal Palace loanee Danny Imray to start turning his positive performances into goal returns.
Imray was heavily involved in the first half during the 2-1 defeat at home to Tranmere on Saturday.
He could have scored his first senior goal in the first minute after being played through by Michael Cheek.
However, his shot went high over Luke McGee’s goal.
Imray had another chance a few minutes later after arriving in the box on the right-hand side, but again putting his effort wide.
His driving run forward in the 28th minute saw Connor Jennings booked for hauling the attacking defender down.
Imray should have registered an assist to open the scoring in the 30th minute when he crossed low for Olufela Olomola, who put his effort over the bar after standing just inches away from the goal line.
The former Chelmsford youngster would have had another assist in the 48th minute when he crossed on the edge of the box for Idris Odutayo at the back post. His header was blocked and cleared on the line.
Imray, 21, has started the last 10 times in League Two.
“Danny Imray has been a real plus,” said Woodman.
“He’s got to add a bit more to his game.
“In the nicest sense. He gets into some really good areas, but we need to get goals and assists out of Danny as well.
“That’s what I’ll be demanding of Danny.
“He’s been great for us.”
