Tom Bradshaw: It would mean everything to reach Premier League with Millwall
Tom Bradshaw has admitted that winning promotion to the Premier League with Millwall would mean “everything”.
The striker’s excellent form for the Lions this season has earned a recall to the international fold with Wales.
And Bradshaw scored twice at Blackpool last night to take his tally to 17 for the campaign.
Millwall had taken five points from a possible 21 before winning 3-2 at Bloomfield Road .
“We knew it was a big game,” Bradshaw told Sky Sports. “We have been below our best the last four or five games. This was a massive game for us and it shows the character we have got in the squad that we took the lead three times.
“If you look at our xG over the last six or seven matches we have made chances, we haven’t had that clinical edge that we had today.
“We made chances tonight and managed to put three in the net.”
Bradshaw has scored two hat-tricks this season when Millwall’s matches have been televised by the broadcaster.
“Most people don’t demand one goal when I’m on Sky – they want three,” said the Millwall number nine. “I’ll take the two and a 3-2 win.
“With that win tonight we’re in the play-off race. With that win tonight we’re in the play-offs, as we speak, and every player goes into the play-offs with the belief they can be a Premier League player.
“Whether that happens, we’ll have to wait and see.
“Everything (what it would mean to get into England’s elite division). Every professional player strives to be at the top level and compete against the top players – that’s what we’re hoping to achieve.”
