Tooting & Mitcham chief Wilson hands Bosah permanent role

Frank Wilson has made Ashley Bosah his permanent assistant boss at Tooting & Mitcham following a successful interim period in the role.

Paul Dale left the role last month to become joint-manager at Whyteleafe.

Bosah is also joint first-team coach. Chris Nurse is assistant coach.

Terrors boss Wilson said: “Myself and Ashley worked together back in our reserve team days and this is quite important as it stabilises our backroom staff.”

Tooting’s last two matches have been postponed but it has allowed centre-back Callum McNaughton to recover from concussion while Juevan Spencer is fully fit.

“We had one or two that were not going to make the squad Dorking Wanderers last weekend but that extra respite from games means everybody will be available on Saturday,” said Wilson.

Tooting host Thurrock tomorrow and the battle at the bottom of the table is hotting up after Worthing’s 2-1 win at Folkestone Invicta saw them move to within a point of the South Londoners, although they have a match in hand.

“It makes this weekend’s game very important,” said Wilson. “Worthing are starting to get out of the trouble they have been in all season and have closed up the gap on the bottom seven or eight teams down there, which includes us.”
