Trams beat Sutton United reserves
The Trams fans travelled the short distance to Eden Park for the last match of the season.
With the Arena out of use, Club Langley once more hosted the Croydon Women side.
In a tightly fought match, it was Sutton United Reserves who looked to have scored first with a blistering effort from 18 yards out.
Trams keeper Angelina Hewitt Williams, however, flung herself acrobatically to save the shot, pushing it away from goal, where it was cleared.
Aptly, Kacie Nadison Singh, who played her first game for the Trams as a U18, scored first.
With minutes to spare before the first half came to an end, her powerful free-kick was whipped over to the far post beyond the despairing Sutton stopper.
In the second half, both teams defended resolutely, but the Blues of SE25 were able to grab a second.
Siane Francis Duncan’s cross was received by Tyrika Hart Dolphy, who danced past her marker and cooly slotted home to double the Trams’ advantage.
The development side conclude the season on Saturday 27th, 10.30 ko at King George playing fields on Grand Drive in their LWSFL div2 Cup Final.
