TV channel and date set for Crystal Palace v Millwall FA Cup clash
Crystal Palace will host South London rivals Millwall in the fourth round of the FA Cup at 12.15pm on Saturday, March 1.
The fixture will be broadcast live in the United Kingdom on BBC One.
Alex Neil’s Lions knocked out Championship rivals Leeds to progress to this stage of the competition for the first time since the 2018-19 season.
Palace beat League Two side Doncaster 2-0 on Monday evening.
The two sides last met in the FA Cup in 2021-22 at The Den, when goals from Jean-Philippe Mateta and Michael Olise cancelled out Benik Afobe’s opener.
Millwall’s last visit to SE25 came in October 2012 – a 2-2 draw which saw the Lions come from two goals down to pick up a point.
“If I didn’t know, I have been told by the boys in the changing room,” said Ben Chilwell when asked about the draw by Palace TV.
“It’s a big derby and I’m excited for it.
“It’s going to be a great game and hopefully we can continue the cup run. There are a lot of important games between now and then.”
Palace’s last trip to Wembley came in the 2021-22 season under Patrick Vieira when they lost in the FA Cup semi-final to Chelsea.
Millwall have not been to the national stadium since winning promotion to the Championship in 2017.
The two clubs did business in the recent January transfer window, with the Eagles swooping to sign Romain Esse in a club-record £14.5million.
Esse is yet to make his first start for Palace but featured for half an hour in the 2-0 win at Doncaster.
He also scored with his first touch in the 2-1 Premier League defeat at home to Brentford.
