Two Dons staff members earn credit after 4-1 win over Swindon Town
BY KAI BENNETT
Mark Robinson has given credit to two of his staff members – Steve Sallis and Andy Parslow – for their help in AFC Wimbledon’s recent success in front of goal.
The Dons thrashed Swindon Town at Plough Lane to make it three wins on the bounce in League One for the first time since October 2019.
Sallis is the perfomance mindset coach while Parslow is their restarts coach.
Speaking to AFC Wimbledon’s club website, head coach Robinson said: “Steve’s been brilliant. He fed things into me after the Plymouth and the Fleetwood games.
“I felt we performed well [in those games] but he fed something into me, and I took it into a meeting and then took it into training and I feel like it’s made a difference.

“That’s Steve’s job, to be looking from the outside and picking up on things that maybe we miss and then it’s my job and everyone’s job to implement it into training.
“At the moment we’ve done that, but as soon as you think you’ve got it, it can be taken away from you. Now it’s about maintaining it and then looking at other aspects to keep it going.”
Will Nightingale scored the Dons second from a set-piece and Robinson was quick to acknowledge Parslow’s hard work.
“Will Nightingale could have had another one as well, but it was a great header. Fair play to Andy, that’s another setpiece [we have scored from].
“There’s also a lot of other work [that Andy does]. Andy is about restarts, momentum, gaining momentum from every restart, whether it’s our restart or their restart.
“There’s been huge improvements in that as well, so he’s done well.”
