Two Millwall players to be assessed ahead of Norwich City match

Romain Esse and Casper De Norre will both be assessed ahead of Sunday’s Championship match at Norwich City after the Millwall duo picked up niggles in training.

The Lions are looking to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat last time out against Bristol City and have George Honeyman ruled out with a quad problem he sustained in the pre-season friendly win at Gillingham last month.

“We had a couple of players pick up little things the other day,” Rowett told the South London Press. “Rom had a dead leg. Casper felt his back a little bit. We’ve just managed them the last couple of days.

“We’re hoping that there are no ill-effects tomorrow when we come into training. They will be assessed along the way.

“Hopefully we will be in a decent place again (for Norwich) but you have to be aware that players pick up things and sometimes they can be more of a problem as the week goes on – but we’re hoping they aren’t too much of an issue.”
