Tyreece Campbell flourishing as Charlton manager Nathan Jones helps boost his confidence
Tyreece Campbell has talked about his relationship with Nathan Jones – and how the Charlton Athletic manager has helped his game.
The academy product, 21, scored his fifth goal of the season in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Exeter City.
Campbell has made 37 appearances for the Addicks in the current campaign and 108 in total.
The South Londoner has been a mainstay of Jones’ side since he replaced Michael Appleton 13 months ago.
“I like working under him,” said Campbell. “He shows a lot of trust in me. He gives me so much confidence on the pitch
“I’m playing for a manager that trusts me. Even if I make mistakes, he still believes in me. It helps a lot.
“We dominated from start to finish (against Exeter) and we were clinical. There were more chances we could have taken and increased the scoreline. It was a good performance.”
