‘We hope so’ – Dons boss asked about contract offers to Chislett and Pierre

AFC Wimbledon have offered new deals to Ethan Chislett and Aaron Pierre.

South African playmaker Chislett, who won the Players’ Player of the Season, has scored 11 goals and registered three assists in 51 appearances in all competitions for the Dons this season.

Chislett, 24, joined the club from Aldershot in 2020 and has featured 123 times for the South Londoners.

Defender Pierre arrived in the winter transfer window on a six-month deal after agreeing to cut his contract short with League Two rivals Sutton United.

The 30-year-old 11 times for the Dons and scored in the 5-1 defeat to Swindon Town.

“We hope so,” Jackson told the South London Press when asked whether he was hopeful either one will commit their future to the club.

“Pierre has only been here six months, but in that time, he’s been an important player for us.

“When he got in the team, he stayed in the team and did well.

“Chis has been an important player all season. It’s the most he has played and scored in a season, so he’s been one of our most influential players. 

“They’re two players we would like to keep about.”

George Marsh, Dylan Adjei-Hersey, Elliott Bolton, Aaron Cosgrave, David Fisher, Kwaku Frimpong and Luke Jenkins have all been released.
