“We will look at that possibility” – Millwall boss on transfer window dealings

BY ALEX GRACE

Gary Rowett has not ruled out Millwall doing more business in the transfer window, but has made it clear that hinges on outgoings.

Speaking after Tuesday’s 1-1 pre-season draw with Gillingham the Lions boss said: “We would like to do more business, but we have to be sensible, not a lot has happened in the market so far, I’m expecting it to pick up a little bit.”

Ben Thompson has been linked with a switch to Portsmouth in recent days. The South London Press broke exclusively revealed earlier this summer that Millwall were open to offers for striker Jon Dadi Bodvarsson.

“I haven’t got anyone in the squad that I’m desperate for them not to be here,” said Rowett. “But every player wants to play football, and if that chance comes up for one of those players then we will look at that possibility.”
