West Brom boss provides update on Millwall loanee Kenneth Zohore – as he doesn’t rule out a recall

Sam Allardyce is not ruling out bringing Kenneth Zohore back into West Brom’s ranks – with the striker’s loan at Millwall due to end after tomorrow’s match at Forest.

The Baggies have Karlan Grant and Hal Robson-Kanu out due to injury. They sanctioned Charlie Austin joining QPR on a temporary basis until the end of the season.

Zohore has only recently returned to the Lions’ first-team fold after two months out with a calf problem.

He has started their last two games and has scored against Preston North End and Boreham Wood.

Millwall agreed a deal until January 16 as they wanted to assess Zohore’s fitness.

Allardyce said: “With my shortage of frontmen at the moment, we’re going to have to speak to Luke [Dowling, technical and sporting director] and the backroom staff who were here before on the quality of the player, and whether we make that decision to call him back at this moment in time.

“It’s until we have an opportunity to bring someone in on the frontline ourselves, which may mean we give him an opportunity if he comes back in and we throw him on, and we see what he can do.

“If that isn’t the case, and we sign who we want to sign, then we have the option to re-loan him again before the window shuts – whether that’s back to Millwall or not, I don’t know.”
