West Ham or Crystal Palace would be ideal draw for Lions boss

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Neil Harris wants a home draw in tonight’s League Cup second round draw – and once again has expressed a desire to face West Ham United or Crystal Palace.

The Lions, who won a penalty shootout against Gillingham on Tuesday to progress, are in the Southern Section of the draw and could be drawn against Premier League opposition.

Harris told the South London Press: “First and foremost I’d like to be at home, so we are not travelling again.

“After that I am not fussed really. I was pleased to get through and we’ll take who comes. There are some big teams in the draw that you would like to play.

“Going up against local rivals Crystal Palace or West Ham would be really exciting games for our fans on the back of beating Gillingham the other night.”
