When will the EFL Cup semi-final draw take place? With Charlton aiming for giant killing at Man United

The Carabao Cup Semi-Final draw will take place live on Sky Sports following the conclusion of Southampton v Manchester City on Wednesday, 11 January 2023.

Charlton Athletic head to Old Trafford this evening to take on Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United side, with a place in the last four of the competition up for grabs.

Dean Holden’s Addicks are currently 12th in League One. The 13-time Premier League winners United are back into the Champions League spots and into the last 16 of the Europa League.

South Londoners Charlton are playing in this stage of the competition for the first time since the 2006-07 season when they were knocked out by Wycombe Wanderers thanks to a 35th-minute strike from Jermaine Easter.

Joining host Mark Chapman to make the draw will be Jill Scott, member of the Lionesses’ winning Euro 2022 squad, and current ‘Queen of the Jungle’, alongside former Manchester City and Queens Park Rangers defender Nedum Onuoha.

The draw can also be viewed live on the Carabao Cup Twitter account via @Carabao_Cup.

Semi-final 1st leg ties are scheduled for the week commencing 23 January, with the return fixtures taking place the week commencing 30 January, with all four ties live on Sky Sports.
