Wimbledon boss talks through transfer window plans after landing Crystal Palace goalkeeper

Johnnie Jackson has talked through how many more signings he would like to make after AFC Wimbledon completed the loan deal for Crystal Palace stopper Owen Goodman.

Goodman, 20, completed the goalkeeper revamp over the summer, with Lewis Ward joining on a one-year deal.

The Dons have strengthened their forward department by bringing in free agent Matty Stevens and re-signing Joe Pigott on loan for the campaign.

Myles Hippolyte and Callum Maycock have both joined permanently. Lincoln City midfielder Alistair Smith has penned a season-long loan deal.

John-Joe O’Toole and Huseyin Biler also signed new deals.

But Jack Currie was sold to Oxford and Lee Brown turned down a new deal to retire from football.

“Probably two or three more,” Jackson told the South London Press when asked how many more he wanted through the doors at Plough Lane.

“There are still a couple of positions.

“One obvious one that we need to look at and we’re working hard on.

“It’s just a couple of areas where we feel as though we can bolster.

“I’m really happy with the work we have done.

“We have got a good squad – we’re way ahead of where we probably were this time last year.

“We have the numbers and the strength in depth. We want to add the right ones.

“There are a couple of positions we’re looking at and then we should be good to go.”
