WIMBLEDON – Live from the press box: Edmund takes second set with a 7-0 hammering of Klahn in tie-breaker

With serve unbroken both players hurled towards a tie-breaker.
The second set went with serve, with a host a poor returns and unforced errors coupled with venomous serving by both players.
In the ninth game, Edmund had break point to take a 5/4 lead but Klahn produced a fine out-swinging first serve.
But Edmund recovered to take advantage and a series of fierce rallies saw the American bring it back to 40/40, before taking two points to make it 5/4.
As expected serve was dominant and so at 6/6 – there was a tie-breaker.
The mini-break went to Edmund who served successfully before a mobile phone rang to break his concentration, but he showed mettle to make it 3-0.
Klahn missed a sitter to gift Edmund a point to make it 0-4 before the ball drifted out to take Edmund to within two points of the set at 5-0.
Klahn had at this point given the set up to make it 6-0 to Edmund, who after an end change easily served out to win the breaker 7-0 and take the second set to make it 2-0.
