WIMBLEDON- Live from the press box: Edmund wins in straight sets
BY PAUL LAGAN
Edmund took the third set after just one break to seal an emphatic 6/4, 7/6, 6/2 win over American Bradley Klahn.
The third set started as the second with serve unbroken and untroubled too.
At 2-3 Klahn misjudged a long ball by Edmund and, after unsuccessfully challenging, gave the advantage to the right-handler.
He recovered to take it to 40/40 again before losing a point to give Edmund break point. A weak shot into the net produced the break to give Edmund a 4/2 lead.
From here Edmund saw out his service game to take it to 5/2.
Edmund took control of the eighth game on Klahn’s serve to take a 40/love lead before seeing out the game, set and match in one hour and 55 minutes.
