Charlton get positive news on injured duo – with Marcus Maddison set for scan on ankle injury

Andrew Shinnie and Akin Famewo could both be back for Charlton’s match at Peterborough next week.

Addicks manager Lee Bowyer is also still without Ryan Inniss and Ben Watson due to injury for tomorrow’s home game against Rochdale.

Marcus Maddison will go for a scan today on his injured ankle.

Darren Pratley will serve the second of a three-match suspension as he sits out the midweek fixture in SE7.

“Shinnie should be back for Peterborough and Akin might be the same,” said Bowyer.

“I was speaking to Ryan yesterday and he was telling me he is only three weeks before he is back out training with us. I don’t think Ben Watson will be too long, maybe a couple of weeks.

“Prats is suspended and he’ll be back for Peterborough.

“Maddison rolled his ankle right near the end. I’ve watched the game back and he is just jogging along – there is no-one near him. He is going for a scan today.”
