Catford Wanderers launch football academy for kids aged 5-11

Catford Wanderers is launching a new football academy – offering football skills development programmes for children between the ages of five and 11.

Coaching and fun activities will take place on Saturday mornings once Covid -19 restrictions are eased and it is safe to do so.

Academy head coach Jarrad Little, said: “We are looking forward to the day when we can launch.

We hope to see lots of youngsters joining our academy, developing their skills and having fun”
Catford Wanderers chairman Eamon Martin said: “We are proud to be a friendly inclusive sports club serving the communities of Lewisham and South-East London. The academy will be great addition to the life of the club.”

Academy director Keith Levett said: “We aim to build a professional football programme for 5-11 years – both boys and girls.

“Also to develop the principles of the game as well as creating a positive learning environment for all levels and abilities”
