Erling Haaland’s personal terms will be no problems for Chelsea

The chances of Chelsea landing star striker Erling Haaland has increased in the past week.
The 20-year-old Norway hitman will cost a world record fee with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich looking at forking out the thick end of £160million. Personal terms are not considered to be an issue.
The club will try and use the pandemic and the knock-on effect that is having on transfer fee generally in a bid to reduce that price tag, but Borussia Dortmund don’t need to sell him and elite strikers are seen as immune to general transfer trends anyhow.
The Blues are ready to offload Fikayo Tomori. He should complete his £25m permanent move to AC Millan next month.
They will also listen to offers close to £50m for Camberwell-born striker Tammy Abraham.
There have been a number of inquires – initially they were for loans only – with Newcastle United, West Ham and Aston Villa keen to secure his services.
Chelsea may let Abraham go on loan, but only if a permanent move is attached to the deal.
Marcos Alonso is weighing up his options as the Blues consider using him as an add-on to a deal with Inter Milan to nab their full-back Achraf Hakimi.
Thomas Tuchel is keen to bolster his defence after the Blues just made the coveted fourth spot in the Premier League on the last day of the season.
If Hakimi is secured it will mean less game time for skipper Cesar Azpilecueta, who had fallen down the pecking order when Frank Lampard was in charge.
Chelsea face a tough opening month of the 2021-22 Premier League season as they have a couple of derbies to contend with as well as an away trip to Anfield.
Crystal Palace are first up at Stamford Bridge on August 12 before heading to Arsenal and then Liverpool on August 28.
The Blues’ second home fixture is against Aston Villa on September 11.
