Eltham teenager jailed for life for murder of Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman

A teenager from Eltham has been jailed for life for murdering sisters Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman as part of a “pact” he made with a “demon”.

Danyal Hussein, 19, a former pupil of Thomas Tallis School, Kidbrooke Park Road, Eltham, repeatedly stabbed Bibaa Henry, 46, and Nicole Smallman, 27, on June 6, 2020, after using his own blood to sign a pact with mythical King Lucifuge Rofocale.

Both women had been out with friends watching the sun set at Fryent Country Park, Wembley, partying to celebrate Ms Henry’s birthday that evening.

They were attacked after 1am, after all the other guests had left.

Hussein had pledged to kill six women every six months to win the Mega Millions Super Jackpot of £321 million – and to carry on killing women as long as he was able.

The sisters’ bodies were discovered on Sunday, June 7 and a murder investigation was launched.

Hussein was identified and arrested on Wednesday, July 1. He was charged later the same day.

He appeared at the Old Bailey on Thursday, October 28, where he was sentenced to life imprisonment to serve a minimum of 35 years.

Hussein, of Guy Barnett Grove, Eltham was found guilty of murder on Monday, July 5, 2021 following a four week trial.

Detective Inspector Maria Green, from the Specialist Crime Command, said that his and his colleagues thoughts were with Ms Henry and Ms Smallman’s loved ones, who have shown the utmost dignity and strength in the most unimaginable of circumstances.

He said : “Danyal Hussein is a dangerous, arrogant and violent individual who from the outset has shown no remorse or acceptance of his actions.“The sentence handed down by the court today is a reflection of the seriousness of his crimes. I hope that knowing he will now spend many years behind bars will bring a small degree of comfort to Bibaa and Nicole’s loved ones.

“This has been a shocking and chilling case and I know the investigation will stay with all of those involved for a long time to come.

“Hussein went out that night with the intention of killing in order to satisfy his bizarre fantasies under the deluded belief he would be rewarded with financial prosperity. His wicked acts have cut short the lives of two completely innocent women who were simply celebrating a birthday.

“The senselessness of Hussein’s actions has made it all the more difficult for Bibaa and Nicole’s loved ones to come to terms with their loss.”
