Johnnie Jackson pays tribute to Charlton fans who battled through travel chaos to see team at Shrewsbury

Charlton boss Johnnie Jackson has thanked the supporters who battled through the elements to see the team at Shrewsbury.
Storm Arwen had caused chaos across the rail network, with all trains between Crewe and Shrewsbury cancelled after a tree was felled on the line.
Many Addicks supporters were stranded in Crewe or Wolverhampton and forced to turn home, whilst others shelled out £100 plus for taxis to take them on the final leg of their journey.

Salop announced that 949 had made the trip from South London to see the home side claim a late victory thanks to Daniel Udoh’s added-time strike.
Jackson said: “Incredible. I heard it was absolute chaos on the trains and the roads. My Dad was on the train and had to get off and find a way to get here.
“It’s unbelievable the support they bring us. I’m gutted for them that we couldn’t give them something to shout about going home. I just want to thank them again for their support, absolutely superb.”
