Two top mental health projects have been shortlisted in the NHS’s “Oscars” – but they will be competing against each other for the same award.

Mosaic Clubhouse and the Lambeth Living Well Network Alliance have been shortlisted in the Health Service Journal Partnership Awards 2022.

Both are in the running to receive the award for the Best Mental Health Partnership with the NHS category.

More than 190 entries have been received for this year’s HSJ Partnership Awards.

Of these, 123 projects made it to the final shortlist.

Mosaic Clubhouse and the Lambeth Living Well Network Alliance were shortlisted for their ambition, visionary spirit and undeniable positive impact on the experiences of patients and staff in the sector.

Mosaic Clubhouse, in Effra Road, Brixton, is a charity that helps people experiencing mental health issues to regain the confidence and skills necessary to lead fulfilling lives.

The first national lockdown forced the charity to close its doors, causing many problems for its members. But it managed to sustain its operations in its community away from the club house.

Chief executive Chris Thomas, said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the Best Mental Health Partnership with NHS Award.

This recognises the collaborative efforts and dedication of our staff and our members over the last 18 months to successfully work together to ensure our services stayed open during the Covid 19 pandemic.

“Without the support of our statutory partner, the Lambeth Living Well Network Alliance, none of this would be possible.

We are committed to delivering improved outcomes for our members, and to be chosen among the other incredible nominees is a wonderful achievement.

“This nomination has been a tremendous boost to staff and all our members at Mosaic Clubhouse and I am sure it will bolster our continued efforts to improve our services.”

The Living Well Network Alliance in Herne Hill near Kestrel Avenue, is the first fully integrated mental health service in the country.

Their mission is to “provide a more patient-centred service with a single point of access”.

Sabrina Phillips, Living Well Network Alliance director, said: “I am delighted that our partners Mosaic Clubhouse have been shortlisted for Best Mental Health Partnership with the NHS category at the HSJ Partnership Awards 2022, recognising the collaborative efforts and dedication of Mosaic staff members to successfully continue to offer a service to the people of Lambeth.

“This is a fantastic achievement, well done to all involved.”

Winners will be announced during the awards ceremony at Westminster Park Plaza, London on March 24.
