Charlton Athletic wing-back set to miss match at Bolton Wanderers

Corey Blackett-Taylor will miss Charlton Athletic’s League One match at Bolton Wanderers tomorrow night.

The  24-year-old came off after lasting just 12 minutes in Saturday’s 3-2 win over AFC Wimbledon complaining of a tight hamstring.

Blackett-Taylor has made 25 appearances this season since joining as a free agent in July.

“Corey won’t be able to go again [on Tuesday],” Charlton manager Johnnie Jackson told the South London Press. “I don’t think it is too serious. We’ll have to check him over again this morning.

“But when someone comes off after five or 10 minutes then they are unlikely to feature again three days later.

“We will be without him. But everyone else came through fine. It will be a question of freshness and who is feeling any tightness. We’ll assess that this morning.”

Top-scorer Jayden Stockley will once again be absent as he works his way back from a hip problem.

“He is progressing and has done some runs on the anti-gravity treadmill,” said Jackson. “He wasn’t able to do that before. He came through that fine and we’ll step it up this week, try to get him back outside on the grass.

“We need to build him up that way, as long as he is not getting a reaction with every step then we’ll progress him as quickly as we can.”
