New bar at Bromley FC will leave fans “blown away”

By Kiro Evans, Local Democracy Reporter

Bromley Football Club are set to unveil a huge new bar they say will leave supporters “blown away” as it battles to get into League Two.

The fifth-tier club has put together the giant hospitality area called Broomfields in the Glyn Beverly Stand end and where food and drink will be served.

Manager Andy Woodman, in charge for a year, has hailed the development as unrivalled in the league.

The club will swing open the doors to excited fans this Saturday ahead of a major game in the FA Trophy.

A victory against York City in the semi-final will see the club head to Wembley for the final, where they could face Ryan Reynolds’ Wrexham.

Mr Woodman said: “It’s fantastic. The supporters will be blown away when they see this on the weekend.

“There’s been a lot of work, effort and money spent on making it a real good supporter experience coming to Bromley Football Club.

“There will be no other facility like it in this league for sure. I really think it’s that good.

“The values we have, which are paramount, is we’re a community football club.

“We want to be a league football club for sure, that’s our goal and our vision.

“But I don’t want to lose contact with the supporters, that’s really important. Our ethos is about the community and the people of Bromley.”

The new bar can hold 500 fans on a match day, is open seven-days-a-week and operates independently to the club.
