Bromley FC to hold open top bus celebration tomorrow – fans and residents invited to attend

Football supporters and Bromley residents are invited to take to the streets tomorrow and mark Bromley FC’s trophy-winning season with an open top bus celebration and event at The Glades.

Bromley Council, Bromley FC and The Glades are working in partnership to bring Bromley together to applaud a remarkable season for The Ravens.

The men’s team beat Wrexham to win the FA Trophy at Wembley last Saturday, while the women’s team only lost once all season on their way to clinching the Greater London Women’s Football League Premier Division.

Deputy leader of Bromley Council, Councillor Kate Lymer said: “It is a remarkable achievement for a football club to win one trophy in a season. That Bromley FC won two, across men’s and women’s football, deserves recognition and praise. We are delighted to be able to work with the club and The Glades to make that happen.”

Bromley FC fans and residents are invited to line the route of the traditional open-top bus parade. The bus will take members of both teams from the club’s ground, Hayes Lane, to The Glades, where the team will be welcomed on stage by the mayor of Bromley, Councillor Hannah Gray, and will meet the fans. The bus will leave the football ground at approximately 11:50 and travel via Hayes Lane, Hayes Road, Westmoreland Road, Bromley High Street and Elmfield Road to arrive at The Glades for around 12:00.

Robin Stanton-Gleaves, owner and chairman of Bromley FC, added: “It was fantastic to receive so much support from the Bromley fans at all our games throughout the season, and especially at Wembley. I am very happy we get to celebrate and share this success with them on Saturday. My thanks to Bromley Council and The Glades for working so hard to make this event possible.”
