Image released after teenager robbed on bus in Croydon
The Metropolitan Police have released an image of a person they would like to speak to in connection with a robbery on a bus in Croydon.
The 17-year-old victim had his phone and jacket stolen while travelling on a Route 194 bus on March 10.
He boarded the bus at Addiscombe Road at around 1.45pm. Three males got on at the same time, followed him to the back of the bus, then surrounded him and demanded he hand over his phone and jacket.
One of the suspects claimed to be in possession of a knife. Once the victim had handed the items over, the three males got off the bus.
They are described as black, between the ages of 16 and 20, and all wore dark clothing.
PC Johanna Hernandez Garcia, of the Roads and Transport Policing Command, said: “The suspects brazenly robbed the victim in broad daylight and in front of a bus full of people.
“We know the impact robbery has on victims and are focused on responding effectively to such crimes and investigating them fully. Since the incident took place we have been carrying out various inquiries and are now appealing for the assistance of the public.”
Anyone who recognises the male in the image or has any information that could assist officers is urged to contact police on 07500 607652 or dialling 101 quoting crime reference CAD 3780/10MAR22. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
